BioI was not born; rather the world was born around me. I went to sleep in the formless void one night and the next morning my eyes hatched like two eggs under a bright lamp (the sun) and life began flowing through my hair like a mountain stream and gambolling between my ankles with the gay abandon of a spring lamb.
My parents were two pieces of string. I used to tie them to the railings at the bottom of my garden to scare the dinosaurs away. This seemed to work because one day the dinosaurs vanished and never came back. I had been afraid of the terrible lizards because I thought they made thunder by stretching their long necks into the sky and roaring into the clouds, but when they were gone I felt strangely lonely.
I have seen glaciers that swallowed the world. I have seen whole empires fall in the time it takes for me to open a bottle of champagne. This journal is the continuing story of my astonishing life.
